Recovery and Results
A mommy makeover is a combined procedure, so the recovery is longer than for any single procedure on its own. Plan ahead — especially with childcare. Here is the typical timeline:
Days 0–3: 1-night hospital stay followed by 4–7 days at our recovery house. Compression garment and surgical drains. 24/7 bilingual nursing care. Walking encouraged from day 1.
Days 4–10: Drains removed in stages. Daily check-ins. Light activities of daily living only. Most patients fly home around day 7–10 with our coordinator’s help.
Weeks 2–4: Return to desk-based work. NO lifting more than 10 lb — that means no lifting children for the first 4 weeks. Plan for help at home.
Weeks 4–6: Resume light cardio. Scar care begins.
